First of its kind book on rifle bullet terminal performance is now available..
Princeton, West Virginia (January 2nd, 2007) — You have been hearing the buzz for a year and now it is finally here. Rifle Bullets for the Hunter, the Definitive Study is now available for purchase at www.riflebullets.net , an interactive web site that offers detailed information on the book and even includes field notes used in its creation. The different types and styles of bullets available to the rifle hunter are staggering. Through their world-wide hunting experiences and exposures to a myriad of bullet testing investigations, John Barsness, Craig Bonddington, Dave Campbell, John Haviland, Richard Mann, Ron Spomer and Bryce Towsley have broken down terminal bullet performance to the nuts and bolts. In Rifle Bullets for the Hunter you will find a detailed analysis of bullets used for varmints, deer, big game, muzzleloaders and dangerous game that includes information on cast bullets. Combined with comprehensive instructions on testing rifle bullets and how to interpret the results, this book is the most complete study of rifle bullets for the hunter ever published.
To recognize his contribution to firearms journalism, this first-of-its-kind, book has been dedicated to Finn Aagaard, one of the most trusted and respected gun writers of the 21st century. Finn was one of the first writers to delve into terminal bullet testing and in fact his research played a major role in the development of the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw bullet. An entire chapter for the book was provided by Finn’s widow, Berit Aagaard Pace that details Finn’s work with Jack Carter during the development of the Trophy Bonded bullet. Berit Aagaard was born in Norway and married the late Finn Aagaard in Kenya in 1968. The instructions about hunting ethics, techniques and especially the importance of bullet placement started on their honeymoon and the pursuit of game became second nature to her from early adulthood. Prompted by Finn before he died, Berit has been a freelance writer since 1998. Her stories have appeared in Wolfe Publishing's Annuals and the Successful Hunter Magazine, and also The American Rifleman. Her writing has the taste of personal experience flavored with knowledge and understanding of her subject.
