AMERICA'S OLDEST GUN MANUFACTURER
USES BULLET TEST TUBE

Remington Arms uses Bullet Test Tube to introduce
new Power Level ammunition.

March 27, 2007 - Remington Arms introduced the new Power Level line of ammunition for the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum at the 2007 SHOT Show.   Prior to the event Remington contacted the Bullet Specialists at Ballistic Technology to see if the Bullet Test TUBE could be used as an effective visual display to show the performance of the new ammunition.  The TUBE is the only bullet testing media that creates a three-deminsional imprint of the bullet’s path and wound channel.  Unlike ordnance gelatin, the TUBE captures the terminal performance of bullets that will last indefinitely.  Remington displayed the TUBEs shot with the Power Level ammunition at the Media Day at the Range where outdoor professionals could see the results, touch and feel the imprint, and photograph the terminal destruction of the Power Level Ammo without the fear of the media melting or becoming ruined.

The TUBE allows for the measurement of every aspect of terminal bullet performance including penetration, retained weight, expanded diameter and most importantly, the volume of the wound cavity.  The TUBE is the first bullet-testing medium that permits a by-volume measurement of the wound cavity a bullet creates as it penetrates and expands.  And, the bullet expansion material in the TUBE can be remolded again for use after use.  The TUBE provides hunters with an affordable, portable bullet-testing laboratory so that they can achieve a Total Understanding of Bullet Expansion.
